I am 43 years old and live in West Yorkshire with my husband, Alwyn and our dog, Lottie. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and spending time with family and friends.
I have over 25 years’ experience within the Financial Services Industry starting as a Banking Representative at First Direct, I was then headhunted to start up Direct Line Financial Services in Leeds. In 2006, I joined Nationwide Building Society and had many roles there, sales, management, compliance before doing my exams and becoming a Mortgage Adviser. I have been a mortgage specialist for 8 years now and absolutely love it.
My experience has now led to running my own business. Therefore, I joined Fort Advice Bureau this year for the wealth of experience and continued support they offer.
The reason I started up on my own is mainly because after working for large organisations for years, it was becoming too commercial, all they wanted was to make money from people. It was no longer about doing the right thing or the customer experience. I wanted to provide a holistic approach to mortgage advice and be a part of the mortgage journey from start to finish. To do the right thing whilst providing an exemplary experience for everyone. I take huge pride in my work ethic and morals.
I fully understand that getting a mortgage can seem a daunting prospect and I am always there for my clients to help, educate and guide them through the process from finding the best deal to moving into their dream home.
As a Mortgage and Protection advisor, I work with every major bank and building society as well as alternative lenders that you will not find in the high street or be able to approach directly.
