Experience

I am married to Karen for 17 years with two sons, Dominic is 15 and Harry is 12. I love spending time with my family and watching my two boys grow and develop their way through school. I met Karen while working at Asda way back in 1998. We live near Wakefield in West Yorkshire, close to my extended family

I have worked within the financial services industry for 19 years, joining Nationwide in 2006. This role introduced me to talking to customers that needed financial help with a new bank account, unsecured loans, or house insurance. Since 2016 as a qualified mortgage and protection adviser I have been advising customers to support their mortgage needs including first time buyers, house movers, debt consolidation, extra borrowing for a variety of reasons and remortgages. It is taking to customers to find a solution to their queries that I really enjoy. I get a real buzz in being the adviser that helped clients realise their house purchase dreams.

It was realising this desire that meant I needed to add another string to my bow and so I studied and qualified in equity release through CeRER

I know that my role with Fort Advice Bureau will help me continue to help clients on a more personal level. I compare the role at Nationwide which didn’t allow me to support clients from the beginning to the end of their journey as much as I wanted to.

I fully understand that getting a mortgage can seem a daunting prospect and I am always there for my clients to help, educate and guide them through the process from finding the most appropriate deal, to moving into their dream home.
